4th Annual PARCA Meeting during DHIMS 2008
The University of Rochester, Department of Imaging Sciences, is holding its 8th Annual DHIMS conference March 25-29, 2008 in San Antonio, Texas.
Once again PARCA will have a booth, so stop by and say hi! We will be hosting our 4th Annual Meeting during this event on Tuesday the 25th from 6pm. This event is open to all conference attendee’s as well as PARCA members. Come along and enjoy refreshments whilst you meet our board members and mingle with your peers.
 As a PARCA member you are eligible for a $50 discount when you register for DHIMS. The five-day conference titled, “Getting Connected in Radiology…Interoperability & Workflow,” is changing from an image-oriented meeting to an information-oriented meeting. DHIMS will begin with a day-long PACS Primer which will provide a good foundation for those considering becoming a PACS Administrator or for those needing a basic refresher course.
Three new workshops will provide attendees extensive educational benefits through actual “hands-on” opportunities and comparative evaluations that will demonstrate which vendor products out-perform others. There will be interoperability demonstrations and workshops on integrated clinical application workstations and advanced visualization workstations.
There will be lectures covering the latest technology being offered by vendors and what’s being tested for the digital environment in academics and lectures describing the different needs and expectations for private healthcare versus larger institutions.
Ask the Experts Panels is where you hear the good, bad and indifferent from some of the nation’s best experts who have already experienced what can go wrong, how to overcome the problems and what they would do differently the second or third time around.
Some of the topics to be covered include availability and accessibility, productivity enhancements, change management, storage management, security and risk management and much more.
The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry designates this educational activity for a maximum of 31.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. This activity is approved for 33 Category A credits by the ASRT (based on attendance at the PACS Primer, all Plenary and “A” sessions of the DHIMS programs or 24.5 Category A credits without attendance at the PACS Primer).
